The Office Mug is Trendglas Jena's 13 oz glass mug in heat-resistant borosilicate 3.3, made in Germany. It is a simple shape with no pattern and no color, so you see the coffee, the tea, or the layer of milk sitting on top of an espresso. This is the smaller of the two Office mugs. The Office XL holds 20 ounces, a full 7 ounces more. Thirteen ounces suits a standard mug of coffee or a large tea without the last inch going cold before you reach it. Borosilicate 3.3 glass is the reason this mug lasts. It takes hot liquid without a warm-up, survives the dishwasher on repeat, and goes in the microwave when the morning coffee needs a second run.

Heat-resistant borosilicate 3.3 glass, made in Germany. Dishwasher safe. Microwave safe. Acid is what wears out cheaper glass and metal infusers, and borosilicate 3.3 is resistant to it. Lemon, rosehip and hibiscus will not corrode or cloud the surface, and nothing you brew carries over in taste. It takes hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid or strong alkali above 212 F to etch this glass, which puts it well outside kitchen use.
